About me
Teya Juarez (she/her) is a student, dramaturg, and performer originally from Fresno, California. She holds a BA in Theatre Arts-Acting from California State University, Fresno (2021), and a Master's in Theatre Arts from Villanova University (2023). She is now a Theatre and Performance PhD student at the University at Buffalo (SUNY). Her research focuses on fatphobia and body image in theatre. Her other research interests include queer theory, intersectional feminism, diversity/equity/inclusion/accessibility practices in the classroom/rehearsal room, and generally critiquing normativity in theatre and society.
